About

I shoot stuff. People mostly but in the nicest, least threatening manner I can manage.

I love photography, books (which I miss as I rarely get the chance to read nowadays), food, wine (please) and films. And music. I’d like to say I love to travel but I’d perhaps be more accurate to say I’d love TO travel. With two preschoolers I don’t get out and about much. Nowhere fancy at any rate. No matter what the husband says Tesco DOESN’T count.

I’ve recently started my photography business and I’m excited and nervous in equal measure. I’m not fancy. I’m a simple little sausage, really. I point my camera at things and make the pretty happen. I’m not saving lives and will never win the Nobel Peace Prize but I’m here and I’m trying. And loving every minute of it.

Since I was a wee small thing I’ve wanted to be a photographer. Or rather, I’ve wanted to take photographs.

I love beauty.

I love grace.

I love those shapes that lie inbetween.

I love negative space. Boy, do I love negative space. I love how with it a moment frozen in time can let the mind wander and dream up a whole new backstory.

I love movement. I get a kick out of how, sometimes, a photographer can shoot a falling leaf and leave you with the suggestion it’s still dancing to a silent music.

I love perfume.

I love my babies: golden and chaotic.

I own more wetsuits than shoes and haven’t seen my hips since my first pregnancy.
